Getting Started: 5-Minute Setup

Step 1 — Set Your Cash Deposited Amount

Go to Settings and enter the total USD you've deposited into your exchange. This establishes your cash baseline so the app can track your available balance.

Step 2 — Add Your Purchases

Click Add Entry, select Buy, and log each Bitcoin purchase with:

Date and time of purchase
Amount in BTC (or USD — the app converts both ways)
BTC price at purchase (one-click to use current price)
Optional notes (e.g., "Weekly DCA buy")

Step 3 — Record Sales (When You Sell)

Switch to Sell mode. The app automatically:

Selects tax lots using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) for optimal cost basis
Calculates your gain or loss
Estimates tax based on holding period (short-term vs long-term)
Shows tax impact before you confirm

Step 4 — Monitor Your Dashboard

The Dashboard gives you a real-time snapshot:

Current BTC price with 24h change
Total BTC held and USD value
Average buy price vs current price
Realized P&L and estimated tax liability
Portfolio value vs invested chart

Step 5 — Generate Tax Reports

When tax season arrives, go to Settings → Reports:

Download Schedule 1 (additional income)
Export Capital Gains CSV with every transaction detail
